Check edge-to-edge against a standard ID-1 bank card. If it does not match, do not use this ruler. Reprint at actual size.
Hold the ruler above your eyes without moving it. Align zero with one pupil, then read the other pupil position; a helper and distant fixation are preferable. Repeat three times. For prescriptions or progressive lenses, ask an optician to confirm PD. Near PD minus 3mm is only a heuristic.
